Why Your Thirst for Blood Turns You Into a Flea
The mediocre crowd loves a cheap show. They're fascinated by the romantic idea of revenge, physical or emotional: smash the enemy's face, spit on him, hand back exactly the blow they took. It's a pathetic display of emotional incontinence. They think “an eye for an eye” is an act of strength, when it's really the most humiliating confession of weakness there is. If your first instinct when attacked is to climb down into the mud and fight on your attacker's terms, you're not a threat. You're a reactive animal validating the existence of the person who hurt you.
We've been sold the comforting dogma of karma and the poetic justice of “do to him what he did to you.” Garbage. Lowering yourself to their level to settle a score means voluntarily submitting to their jurisdiction. It means spending your scarcest resources (your time, your energy, your mental bandwidth) on someone who has already proven to be strategically inferior. What's right in this world isn't what fairy tales call morally “good” or “bad.” What's right is whatever, by the cold math of logic and power, gives you the greatest advantage. Going after someone with nothing to lose turns you into a flea trying to bleed a stray dog dry.
This is where the Asymmetry of Authority comes in. Real revenge isn't an act; it's a brutal shift in hierarchy. You don't get even by hitting back. You get even by piling up so much authority, capital and sovereignty over your own destiny that your enemy is eventually reduced to a statistical error in your ecosystem. The perfect execution order is to keep moving with an ambition so cold and so vertical that when that person tries to look up at you again, the difference in altitude alone snaps their neck. The goal is that they won't even have the nerve, or the ability, to hold your gaze.
We're not monsters. We're just the uncomfortable voice you'd rather not hear, because it demands results instead of tantrums. Having the power to destroy someone and choosing instead to make them irrelevant takes wartime discipline. Own the responsibility for your own greatness. Spend your energy building a monopoly over your own life, not on back-alley fights that only leave you stained with mediocrity.
